Leadership
FYS, a federally registered 501c3, was founded in 2015 by Chris Davis. Mr. Davis has is a community advocacy leader with nearly three decades of diverse experience and honed expertise in working with at-risk and high-risk youth. His broad and deep experience in youth development, social emotional learning, youth and family advocacy, and arts education make him a highly sought-after voice to speak into youth work across the spectrum.
As a natural development of its community connections and desire to serve, FYS will create an afterschool program in various neighborhoods to combat the declining opportunities and lack of access to quality youth programming.
Mr. Davis realized a cycle of poor choices, bad behavior, poor academic performance, and lack of family support plaguing youth and teens and created programming was relevant and relatable to youth, educational, empowering, and culturally enriching.
For years, Mr. Davis has built professional partnership with respected community professionals who share a similar vision for the youth, their families, and these communities.
